Guest Speaker: Catholic Charities Atlanta
Mission Project: Adopted 3 refugee families (two from Afghanistan and one from Burma) to provide household items, furniture, rugs, clothing and books. Mission in the City partnered with Alice Park's Creativity Camp for donations of arts & crafts to create Creativty and Activity Kits for the refugee children.

Read Elizabeth Blanco attends The Westminster Schools in Atlanta class of 2026. She founded Mission in the City after years of serving in many different communities in Atlanta. Her desire is to provide a meaningful opportunity to educate, connect and empower young people while serving.
To educate students age 10-15 on the issues facing our own communities in the city of Atlanta, to provide meaningful connection among communities, to develop servant hearts and to encourage the next generation to be part of the solution.
Mission in the City started as a one-week mission experience in the summer. We have now expanded to holding camps and service days during school breaks as well as providing service opportunities throughout the year.
