Read Elizabeth Blanco is a junior at The Westminster Schools in Atlanta. She founded Mission in the City after years of serving in many different communities in Atlanta. Her desire is to provide a meaningful opportunity to educate, connect and empower young people while serving.
To educate middle school students on the issues facing our own communities in the city of Atlanta, to provide meaningful connection among communities, to develop servant hearts and to encourage the next generation to be part of the solution.
Mission in the City started as a one-week mission experience in the summer. We have now expanded to holding camps and service days during school breaks as well as providing service opportunities throughout the year.
