"While my goal in serving through Mission in Macon was to make a positive impact on my community, the experience of Mission in Macon impacted me just as much. I met dozens of people living in a food desert and will never forget their gratitude and positive attitude when I served food to them. I also made friends with elementary school kids who had so much enthusiasm for learning to read, even though it was challenging. Mission in Macon opened my eyes and pulled on my heart, and I'm looking forward to planning for our next days of service."
